Naturalistic –
Verbal Linguistic Intelligence – English Children were introduced to the concept of singular and plural through concrete objects like books, pencils, bowls, etc. They were also introduced to the concept of ‘was and were’ through some real-life examples. Our little Suncitizens have become confident readers and well-versed in phonics. Taking forward the ritual of learning, children practiced reading short sentences with vowels ‘a, e, i, o, u’ and digraphs – ‘ee’ and ‘oo’. They also recapitulated by reading the months of the year and the days of the week. Verbal Linguistic Intelligence –Hindi मार्च के माह में छात्रों को 'जादू का पिटारा' के संग व्यंजनों का अभ्यास करवाया गया। छात्रों को कक्षा में कई तरीके की वस्तुएं दिखाई गई जैसे - कलम, रंग, किताब, दरवाज़ा, पंखा, खिड़की और उनसे पुछा गया की कौन सी वस्तु की शुरुआत कौन से व्यंजन से होती है । साथ ही साथ छात्रों को श्रुतलेख के द्वारा स्वरों का भी अभ्यास करवाया गया। मार्च के माह में छात्रों को दो और तीन व्यंजनों से शुरू होने वाले शब्दों का मौखिक और लिखित अभ्यास करवाया गया। Logical-Mathematical Intelligence-
Visual-Spatial Intelligence- The visual arts are the art forms or creations that we see. This category usually includes things like paintings, drawings, photographs, crafts, and printmaking. “Visual Arts” is a modern term for a broad category of art that includes many artistic disciplines such as performing arts, and fine arts.
Musical Intelligence- Indian music Music is of various styles. This is said that all sounds got the music. Starting from the sound of the waterfall, the sound of the ocean waves or the simple flowing of the river have got harmony in themselves. Music has been an important adjunct to ritual and drama and has been credited with the capacity to reflect and influence human emotion. It is used for such varied social purposes as ritual, worship, coordination of movement, communication, and entertainment. The children practiced the welcome song,‘आओ आओ संगीत बनाओ’, vocal warmups, animal choir, Aum, rhythm clapping, सरस्वती वंदना song. Western Music- Children practiced Rhythm on congo along with the educator. Dance- One of the most basic motives of dance is the expression and communication of emotion. Dancing is an elegant, and regular movement, harmoniously composed of beautiful Attitudes and contrasted graceful Posture of the Body, During the month, the children did warmup exercises and thrilled themselves as they danced to the tune of the "Macarena " song. Bodily-kinesthetic – Dragging the ball with a racket Playing with balls makes physical activity fun. Dragging balls with a plastic toy racket is good for muscle development, hand-eye coordination and fitness. This helps children understand that they can learn and get better at something if they try. And this builds self–esteem and confidence. Hula-Hoop Jumping Hula –Hoop Jumping works on gross motor skills by focusing on body shifting, balance, jumping and hopping. This improves students’ abilities to use the playground and exercise equipment and to participate in recreational sports and leisure activities. Skating- Skating is a great form of exercise that can provide many health benefits. It helps to tone muscles and improve overall strength. Skating is a great way to stay active improve your fitness and have fun. During March children practiced the following positions and footwork while skating:
Imaginarium- Children enjoyed exploring different stations and creating memories with friends at the Imaginarium. Interpersonal Intelligence- Birthday celebration- Show & Tell- “Graduation - It is a time to celebrate new beginnings and say goodbye to everything that has given you a reason to smile. It comprises warm memories of the past and big dreams for the future”. The children who were born in March celebrated their birthdays on the last day of their kindergarten journey. The theme of the celebration was, ‘My favorite memory in Kindergarten’. They were thrilled to share their thoughts about their favorite memory of kindergarten. Storytelling- Reading and storytelling with children promote brain development and imagination, develop language and emotions, and strengthen relationships. Keeping this view in mind, the educator narrated a Buddhist story “The truth about the tooth’’ inculcating the importance of being honest and truthful in one’s life. Drama- Drama helps children teach patience and enhance attention and concentration through drama games like musical chairs. Keeping this aim in mind, the educator played a few games that help teach them to resolve arguments peacefully, deal with disappointment and practice patience. Events and Celebrations- Annual Exersion-Mogly Farm- A trip to an animal farm helps you to observe and understand the animal behavior and habitat closely. It lets you interact with them and understand them beyond the bookish knowledge you have ever had. Also, it’s an opportunity for kids to see almost all the domestic or farm animals that they have only read about or drawn in books. For them, it would be an overwhelming experience to see all the farm animals in their books. Also, this visit lets them learn about the habitat and sounds of various animals for real. This practical approach to learning would help them to remember or retain this knowledge forever. Our EYP students visited the ‘Mogly’s farm’ as a part of their annual excursion on 10th March 2023. The energy amongst the students was palpable. At the farm, the children enjoyed various activities like milking a cow, petting the animals, feeding the sheep, and holding the rabbits and guinea pigs. They were also fascinated by the story session through the miniatures of their favorite story characters. OORJA- Oorja is one of the most loved events of the year, the children very longingly look forward to it. When this day is about to come, there appears to be a lot of activity in the entire school premises as arrangements take time. Sport develops a sense of friendliness among the children and develops their team spirit. It helps children to develop mental and physical toughness. The school believes that school is an integral part of education and in Suncity School, children are taught gross motor skills in very early stages to keep their value in life. Graduation day is finally here, your dreams you did pursue. All your hard work has paid off, we are so very proud of you- “Catherine Pulsifer” To celebrate the progression Suncity School, 37D Gurgaon celebrated Graduation Day and applauded the young enthusiastic learners for their commendable performance in the session 2022-2023. It marked a new beginning that adds new dimensions to their school life and the journey they begin towards knowledge and education. The students of Nursery -A conducting a special assembly for their KG friends. During the event, the children talked about the valuable lessons and positive qualities that their teachers imparted to them over the course of the year. The student’s involvement in the assembly was outstanding, and their dance performance was a dazzling highlight that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for the little ones as they received their Graduation badges.
